Meet the Disney Believe: Everything We Know About Disney Cruise Line's Newest Ship
Oct 8, 2026 · @Jenn
Disney Cruise Line just announced its newest ship, the Disney Believe, and she sets sail on December 18, 2027 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The ship is inspired by courageous Disney characters who believe in themselves, their dreams and new horizons. That theme shows up everywhere on board, from Moana in the Grand Hall to a world-premiere Encanto musical. Here is everything we know so far, and what it means for your family.
Where the Disney Believe will sail
The Disney Believe will offer 4- and 5-night sailings from South Florida to the Caribbean and The Bahamas. Each voyage stops at one or both of Disney Cruise Line's island destinations: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Shorter sailings are a great fit for first-time cruisers, families with young kids, and anyone who wants a big dose of magic without a lot of time away from school or work. Sailing from Port Everglades also makes it an easy drive for families here in Florida.

The Grand Hall
The Grand Hall is the heart of the ship, and on the Disney Believe it celebrates exploration and the power of nature. A statue of Moana, with her companions Pua and Heihei, welcomes guests aboard.
The design draws on the Pacific Islands setting of the film and the sea itself. Look for ocean-hued carpet with bioluminescent colors and a chandelier modeled after the sea's fluid movement. Hidden inside that chandelier is the heart of Te Fiti, so make it a family game to spot it on embarkation day.
Entertainment: Encanto, Zootopia and more
The Walt Disney Theatre will host three Broadway-style shows:
- Disney Encanto is the world's first Encanto musical, and it debuts exclusively on the Disney Believe. It follows Mirabel on her quest to save her family and their miraculous home, with vibrant costumes, traditional dance inspired by diverse Colombian cultures, and Lin-Manuel Miranda's songs from the film.
- Tangled: The Musical comes over from the Disney Magic with a reimagined set and special effects exclusive to the new ship.
- Disney Seas the Adventure is an original Wish-class show featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters and iconic songs.
Outside the theater, Gazelle is a new entertainment hub inspired by the city in the Zootopia films. During the day, families can enjoy trivia, games and character encounters. At night, it shifts to adult-exclusive entertainment, silent discos and variety acts. For the first time on Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will star in a family show where guests help them solve their latest case.
Fan favorites are returning too, including Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party, Hero Zone, Disney Uncharted Adventure, and Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas.
Dining
The headline restaurant is Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a brand-new, untold chapter in the Frozen story. Set in a sommerhus courtyard deep within the forest, Oaken and his family invite guests to dine together. Anna and Kristoff join in, and Oaken's cousins play their own takes on famous Frozen songs. Oaken's Table joins two returning venues from the Wish class.
For casual bites and treats:
- Big Hero Sips, a cozy coffee shop inspired by San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6
- Café Kakamora, inspired by Motunui, Moana's island
- Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods, an open-air food court with barbeque, cantina bowls and salads, pizza, burgers and soft-serve ice cream
- Pluto's Pita Platters, a brand-new, Mediterranean-inspired stall exclusive to the Disney Believe
- Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, with specialty sweet treats available for purchase

Just for grown-ups
While the kids are busy, adults have some beautiful spaces of their own:
- Sea Notes, an iridescent piano lounge inspired by Ariel's grotto, centered on a pearlescent piano
- Wishing Well, a storybook castle courtyard inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, under a canopy of white blossoms and red apples
- Skygazers, an observatory-themed venue with towering bookshelves, celestial maps and nods to classic Disney stories
- Haunted Mansion Parlor, the fully immersive favorite inspired by the Disney Parks attraction, which returns on this ship
- Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud and The Rose for adult-exclusive dining
- Quiet Cove, Senses Spa, Senses Fitness, Untangled Salon and Hook's Barbery for some rest and pampering
Fun on the top decks
Like its sister ships, the Disney Believe has three themed districts on the upper decks, with water features, quick and casual dining, and plenty of places to relax in the sun.
The AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line's signature attraction at sea, returns with new Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse adventures. Riders can dash up a snowy mountain slope in Swiss Meltdown or join the villainous hijinks of Sing a Silly Song.
Staterooms and suites
Staterooms feature all-new papercut-style artwork inspired by Moana, Coco and The Lion King.
- Concierge guests get dedicated service, a Concierge Lounge themed to Alice in Wonderland, and a private sun deck with complimentary food and beverages. Concierge staterooms and suites feature artwork inspired by Peter Pan.
- Toy Story oceanview rooms: seven special themed rooms with floor-to-ceiling views.
- Royal Reef Suites are inspired by The Little Mermaid, with oceanic teal and coral pink, scalloped shell edges and pearlescent finishes.
- Royal Rose Suites are inspired by Beauty and the Beast, with nods to a French palace and a rose motif throughout.
The showpiece is the Believe Tower Suite, exclusive to this ship and inspired by Magic Kingdom Park. Tucked inside the forward funnel, it covers nearly 2,000 square feet across two stories. It sleeps eight, with two main bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Each room is modeled after a different themed land, and floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the top decks and the open horizon.
Planning tips for families with sensory, autism or mobility needs
A brand-new ship is exciting, but it also comes with unknowns. For families who rely on routines, predictability or accessible features, a little planning goes a long way.
- Start the conversation early. Talking through your family's needs before booking opens helps us choose the right sailing length, dates and stateroom location.
- Plan for downtime. We can map out quieter times and spaces, and build breaks into each day so nobody gets overwhelmed.
- Think about dining rhythm. Choosing the right dinner time and preparing your family for themed, musical dining experiences can make evenings smoother.
- Request accessibility services ahead of time. Disney Cruise Line offers services for guests with disabilities, and I'll help you request what your family needs before you sail.
- Make embarkation day easy. From getting to Port Everglades to arrival timing, a calm first day sets the tone for the whole trip.
